When I was young I was much smarter. Wisdom came to me so fast I couldn\u2019t explain it all. Nobody enlightened me. I had never heard or read anything like it. It was a brilliant and original epiphany. But now we have the Internet and ego-crushing reality is just a search away.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">A minute ago I typed \u201cThe more I learn\u2026\u201d into Google and here\u2019s what popped up:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"font_8\">&#8220;The more you learn, the more you know. The more you know, the more you forget. The more you forget, the less you know. We text. We spend our days expressing every banal thought that crosses our mind in such a way that we don\u2019t have to bother hearing or reading a response.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Maybe we don\u2019t want response. We\u2019re just spewin\u2019.\u00a0 Maybe we\u2019re just trying to shut off the noise and hear ourselves think.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">I could be wrong about this.\u00a0Maybe, but how can I know?<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">I\u2019ve learned so much, so fast, I\u2019m rushing toward total ignorance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t write as much as I used to.
