There\u2019s talk of canceling Lipstick Jungle. Please let\u2019s keep it.\u00a0 It\u2019s one of the few shows I\u2019m committed to.\u00a0 I don\u2019t feel a bond with legal shows and police shows and\u00a0dark\u00a0prison shows and killing shows and medical shows.\u00a0 I only invest in\u00a0relationship shows.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I sit down with my coffee and remote and turn on that dvr and I\u2019m transported into the\u00a0latest goings-on within the group I\u2019ve chosen to care about.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Lipstick Jungle is fun.\u00a0 It’s as good as\u00a0Sex And The City – maybe better. These women are grownups.\u00a0 They achieve and then they stumble.\u00a0They have their triumphs, some on a grand scale.\u00a0 And then they have\u00a0some of the same problems as – well – mostly nobody else I know has the same problems as these three women.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One of the three main characters\u00a0is a parent.\u00a0 This\u00a0parenting is done in a gorgeous loft in NYC.\u00a0 Another\u00a0wants to parent but can\u2019t yet.\u00a0 And, to put this all into perspective,\u00a0one is dating a handsome billionaire. So – maybe there\u2019s no common ground and maybe that\u2019s why it\u2019s fun.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They look good.\u00a0 Really good.\u00a0 The show is beautiful to look at and yes, it does look expensive, but where\u2019s the problem?\u00a0 We don\u2019t expect television shows to come cheap.\u00a0 Entertainment should sometimes be lush and well-dressed.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had enough gritty.\u00a0 Surely NBC can figure out how to cut corners somewhere else and spare this one.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Lipstick Jungle is made for\u00a0looking through the\u00a0window at someone else\u2019s life and choosing\u00a0the parts\u00a0we’d\u00a0like to have and\u00a0the parts we wouldn\u2019t want. The best part about the show\u00a0is the friendship.\u00a0 These three ladies love each other.\u00a0 They disagree and then they make up.\u00a0\u00a0Most importantly, they\u00a0show up for each other.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m having trouble finding another\u00a0relationship show to bond with, so please\u00a0NBC, let\u2019s bring\u00a0Lipstick Jungle back for another season.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
